Christen Mooney, also known as ThugPop, is a multidisciplinary artist, model, and fashion figure recognized for his contributions to art, music, and fashion. As a creative force, ThugPop is celebrated for blending nostalgic and spiritual iconography into his visual works, which often explore themes of healing and identity. His artistry spans various mediums, including visual collages, textile work, and digital creations, while his unique aesthetic incorporates glitter, bows, and other references to his personal experiences and cultural influences.

After growing up on the East Coast and pursuing fashion in New York, he shifted focus to his own artistic expression. His debut series, Cooning For Cash, received recognition for its powerful woven tapestries, inspired by 1970s photography from Bob Mizer’s Athletic Model Guild, and explores themes of self-acceptance, identity, and the Black male experience.

Christen is a prominent figure in the fashion world, known for collaborating with influential designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Lotta Volkova, Telfar, Shayne Oliver, and Anonymous Club. He has also served as a muse for iconic brands like Hood By Air. Beyond visual art, Christen is celebrated as a model, fashion stylist, DJ, and musician, renowned for his bold and distinctive style that continues to challenge creative boundaries in contemporary culture.
